Character Description
Den is 5" 9" tall and weighs in at 175 lbs. He has dark hair and dark brown eyes. He is well toned and has the calves and thighs of a Spartan warrior. He is wearing a pair of dark shorts and a gray tee shirt the says Tommy Bahama on it. In his pocket is the Benchmade switchblade that he's carried almost every day since it was presented to him at the end of his Army Special Forces training.
Den is a paradox. He comes from two cultures that couldn't be more dissimilar. His father's family comes from south of Sparta, a part of Greece called Lakonia and where the word Laconic is derived. His mother's family comes from Sicily, where brash talking is a way of life. At times he combines both traits, sometimes a man of few words, and sometimes a talker. One this is certain, when he is in the woods, hills, mountains, or desert, really any wilderness setting, he comes into his own.

Character History
Born before the rest of the group, this strange journey seems to have changed him and made him into a man of his early thirties. He has a tremendous amount of military training, but that will aid him little since things are so different now.

Third Gem Activated. Choose a monster and receive a +2 to your attack and damage each time you encounter it. For some reason you are gifted against such creatures.
Second Gem Activated. In a spare moment you tried your hand at some lots with a passing traveler. Your luck was so good that he had to give you a gem as payment for your winnings. Your GM / DM will tell you the worth of it above 100gps.
First Gem Activated. +1 to your Charisma or similar attribute. Your intermingling with many races and peoples has made you more articulate.
