Title: Terrorists in Trinidad

Comments: This is because since the attempted coup in Trinidad in 1990 politicians with the assistance of the police have allowed the introduction and expansion of the so-called local Muslim terrorist movement which has been recruiting, financing and encouraging many of our citizens to become terrorist with the sole aim of over throw in our democracy when an opportunity arises. What else? Now of course they are suppliers of terrorists to ISIS and still nothing is being done to halt the advancement of this brigade of fanatical individuals. Why?
We do not need such a movement in this nation. What is the purpose of having such a terrorist organization here ? Moreover, politicians from both sides of the fence have done nothing and are still doing nothing to ban this movement or arrest and change the ease in which the leader operates here. I hope this answers your question.

Title: Terrorism

Comments: A good insight as to what an ISIS trained terrorists can do is demonstrated by what has happened in Manchester in England where an ISIS suicide bomber killed 22 people and wounded 59 after traveling to and from Libya. Eleven other terrorist suspects have been arrested in the UK now and are awaiting further investigation. Apparently all have been associated with a terrorist cell in the Manchester area of the UK. Despite such incidents in many capitals of Europe and attempts in other world cities we still nurture potential terrorist there without hindrance. The local citizen who started the so-called Muslim movement here which has developed into the recruitment and financing of potential ISIS terrorists is still in charge and nobody here takes any notice of what he is really up to. He is allowed full freedom of his activities and movement on this island without any surveillance. Generally speaking the impression given is that he is still seen as some sort of hero here and is supported by some policemen and politicians hence his continual adverse activities in relation to our now Muslim terrorist movement which supports the ISIS. This local scenario has become noticeable even by the President of the USA and yet nothing effective or meaningful has been done here by our politicians or the police to stem the recruitment of these extremists and potential terrorist here. I would appear that our police and politicians are just waiting for something serious to happen here before they take any action.

Comments: Talking about terrorism it is evident that governments in the Caribbean islands do not take the threat as seriously as those who know and have experienced the willful damage and chaos these fanatics could do.
A good example is here in Trinidad where we have terrorists breeding terrorists and no particular restrictions or other measures are really taken to halt the expansion or our own locally grown and bred brigade of these guys.
Any really responsible government would ensure that this movement and its leader and other leading supporters are banned and restriction put on the movements of the masterminds behind the recruitment, financing and encouragement of our citizens to support ISIS.
The only major criminal activity waiting to happen here is a attack on innocent citizens by these raving fanatics. One never know when they will strike. Politicians here are either too afraid to deal with this matter in a pragmatic and caring manner or they just don't care about the security of our citizens.
They could also be in fear of the backlash to something they stood by and watched developing over many decades without any hindrance.
The leader of the local Muslim movement who influence these dangerous individuals are obviously protected by the police and those involved in our nation security, otherwise something would have already been done to eradicate this brigade of what is now recognize as a terrorist movement which supplies Trinidadians to support and fight on behalf of ISIS in Syria. The problem is here you can advise some politicians of the dangers of such a movement here but getting the full support from all of our political parties to halt the progress of this movement seems unlikely to happen until its too late.

Title: Seizing assets of terrorists

Comments: It is beyond logical comprehension as to why the AG is seizing the assets of dead local terrorist when he knows who the actual ringleaders, financiers and recruiters are here. These are the citizens whose asset should be seized by setting an example of what could happen to living terrorists here not dead ones. However this is like most things done here, involving political decision, which are done halfheartedly and without foresight.

Title: Terrorism in T&T

Comments: This is no more 'terrorism' as much as it is 'conversion'. We need to separate the 'radical Islam' followers to those who are genuinely practising Muslims.
The 'radical movement' is growing and their intent is very real and threatening to ALL. If the current trend continues- in 10 years- Trinidad would be a ' Caliphate' with Sharia Law.
The 'terrorism' is one of the tools being used to destroy laws and order, threaten our stability, create mayhem and instill a governing body that would dictate, control and punish.

Title: Dealing with terrorists here.

Comments: We are now landed with a major terrorist problem on this island. With all the talk about bringing in legislation to seize the assets of returning terrorist from Syria to this island is not going to resolve the problem, as most of these guys have no worthwhile assets anyway. These returning terrorists are experienced men the art of terrorism having acquired the skills of disrupting society, and will remain an ever increasing threat to this nation. They should not be allowed to return to this country and if they are, then they should be imprisoned for long periods of time and when released, their movements should be monitored and restricted. Moreover to end the terrorist business here, the government must take this problem into their own hands, and should now ban the so -called Muslim movement and deal severely with the leader who is obvious behind the recruitment, financing and encouragement of our citizen to join the ISIS in Syria.
