I used to be a huge football fan. I loved the Steelers. Then along came Ben and his antics. I didn't much like that. Then all the stuff about the Patriots cheating, multiple times. I didn't like that either. In both cases the league did next to nothing. Team's should be stripped of Championships. Did anyone pay for hiding the concussion issues some of my favorite players were suffering through? Then New Orleans head hunting. The league really reacted to that but not New England. I wondered why. Then it all came to me, NE is a bigger market and a more followed team. It's all about profit. It's only about profit.

This Raiders move is just the latest display. The Raiders fans begged and pleaded for the team to stay. They are some of the most loyal fans in football. Solid working class people. Did the team listen and stick around for the fans? Did they put the bottom line aside one time? Nope, money wins over loyalty every time in the NFL. It's not that the Raiders aren't making money, they are. It's just that the multi-millionaire owners wanted to get better tax breaks and have middle class America pay for a super stadium for their team that they get to play in for decades virtually for free. I swore off the NFL a few years ago now and this only reinforces that I did the right this.
