That is a tremendous shot. It take an insanely steady hand to be a sniper. Less than a millimeter of wiggle at the muzzle equates to inches or even feet of movement at the target, depending on range. There are so many things to consider as well. Again, I have to say tremendous shot… it is just worth repeating again.
You can compensate but wind can change and that incorporates skill. How well you compensate and even how cooperative the target is so you have the time to make the shot.

If the wind changes you compensate for it. It's one of the skills we are taught. If the wind changes just as you take the shot or afterwards there is nothing you can do. Skill doesn't matter once you pull the trigger. Everything up to pulling that trigger is skill and training though. The shot this cat made at a mile and a half required a lot of both.
