She seems to have a good sense of reality and self-preservation.

I realize she has a long way to go. She "mourned in a certain way" for Priklopil and wants to buy the captors house so his mother can live there. She sort of contradicts herself, which indicates how mixed up she is. She seems to have a strong personality and hopefully that will help her to come out on top, eventually.
