Zootopia Reviews & RPGs PBP Anime / Comic

'Zootopia' was a creative labor of love for veteran Disney directors

"Zootopia" appeals to both children and adults, and the final product is a credit to its seasoned directors. Ref. Source 6t.

Zootopia

Zootopia was brilliant with lots of funny scenes and controversial dialogue. It has a bit of everything for everyone including adults and liberals. wink.gif.

Zootopia

There were tons of double meaning in this flick but just looking at it as an animation without trying to read in between the lines it was a great watch!

Zootopia

Zootopia is a typical Disney movie, with cute animation and typical jokes. However it has a little more political charge than is typical in Disney (Not that Disney never does it, just they don't do it in every movie). There is a strong division between 'prey' and 'predators' with each not trusting the other. Some animals act stereotypically for their designation adding to the stigma and some try to break the mold to change perceptions. The movie is about this struggle and what it means to persist in the face of opposition. But that doesn't mean that kids won't still love it and there is plenty of humor for such a serious topic. The movie does have a 'naturalist' resort in it where there are animals not wearing clothes, so if you are worried about your kids thinking about such things, you might want to be wary, but it is tastefully done and more humorous than serious. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie and took it at face value without trying to read into whatever subtle points the directors were trying to make.

Zootopia

There was a big emphasis on not having to conform to what is traditionally acceptable, for me that was the whole basis of the movie and they pulled it off well for a family friendly flick.

The Sloth was a blast, I wish they continued with him doing some more slow scenes but I think they will do that in Zootopia 2 because we all know there will be a part 2.
