School Life Autism

There is a lot of bullying in school. Kids today are unkind and heartless. Only one or two will be caring enough to not say bad things but they won't try to be a friend either. Children on the autism spectrum have it really hard, they have to be strong to face their challenges and we need to let them know they aren't alone.

Autism: Life In School Health & Special Psychology

We've tried private special needs school with my older son. It has not been a positive experience. In every aspect he was bullied, ridiculed and put down by both peers and those who you would think would know better: the teachers. While I know teaching a child on the spectrum might be a challenge, if you know you cannot handle it or you do not have the facilities in place do not advertise yourself as a special needs school!
