Burger King parent company Restaurant Brands is buying Popeyes for $1.8 billion

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen shareholders will receive $79 a share as Restaurant Brands adds the fast-food chicken chain to its roster of quick-service restaurants that includes Burger King and Tim Hortons. Ref. USAToday.

I don't know how I feel about this. I love Popeye's. Burger King doesn't seem to be doing that well financially. At least I didn't think so. I hope this doesn't affect Popeye's in a negative manner. Don't mess with my Cajun chicken *smile*.

Popeyes Reviews Consumer & Travel Family Culture

I enjoy Popeye's food and I would hate to see this sale mess with the great food and service I get when I go there to get chicken. I guess we will have to wait and see.
