Yahoo's Mayer may get $23M gold parachute

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has a $23 million golden parachute awaiting her if and when Yahoo is bought by Verizon, including $19.97 million in equity and more than $3 million in cash, according to an SEC filing. To get the package, Mayer must be terminated without cause. Ref. Source 6k.

I did not even know that Verizon was going to buy out Yahoo. I wonder what that will do for both yahoo and Verizon market shares. I would not mind a $23 million pay out myself but I guess that is what you get for being a CEO at the right time and place.
