Trek to Hollywood sign just got trickier

Los Angeles will soon stop hikers and tourists from using a Beachwood Drive gate to reach a popular trail near the Hollywood sign. City workers plan to redirect pedestrians to Canyon Drive and other access points to the Hollyridge Trail. Ref. Source 1x

Sounds like normal city politics of what gate to use what trail to use when people just want to go see a big sign that reads "Hollywood". I understand now why many people just do not go there much anymore.

Yeah, it sounds like the people living there decided the added traffic, both cars and pedestrians, just wasn't worth it to them.
