Role-play A Famous Person In History

Since my last topic was so good I decided to start this one. What about if you could role-play someone famous in history who would you like to role-play and what would their character sheet look like?

Nikola Tesla. Genius paired with more than a pinch of mental instability.

Would give me a chance to grumble about that backstabbing Edison killing elephants just to discredit 'my' work. tongue.gif.

Abraham Lincoln and King Leonidas. They were each great leaders in their days and helped to save their respective countries. I'll think on the stats.

Athila the Hun, I'll bet his fighting abilities put him on the very high end of barbarian abilities. Alexander the Great is another good one.

I would not want to play a famous person as I am sure I would ruin their reputation.

Ah, yes, there is that aspect. But I would assume the game would be approached with the understanding that these portrayals are ultimately satire, and not intended to represent the true person behind it.

I understand that but I am sure I would still ruin the character and his or her chance for greatness.

Yes, I wouldn't play otherwise. And perhaps it would be to see if you could do better than that famous person or worse. In other words, Famous Person X made this decision, Ninja makes this decision instead and what happens? Does Sparta fall to the Persians? Is Alexander killed in India losing a battle? Or, does Washington take the deal and become a Duke, thus ensuring there is no United States?
