Dolphins coach Joe Philbin is promising to change the culture inside Miami's locker room and make it a better workplace than the one that forced Jonathan Martin to leave the team last season. In taking questions for the first time since Ted Wells released his report into the bullying scandal that rocked the league, Philbin made it clear things would be cleaned up. We are going to uncover every stone, and we are going to have a better workplace,'' Philbin said at the NFL scouting combine. On Wednesday night, the Dolphins fired offensive line coach Jim Turner and longtime head athletic trainer Kevin O'Neill for their roles in the scandal.

Two people familiar with the situation say Michael Vick and the Eagles haven't ruled out the quarterback returning to Philadelphia. Vick will become a free agent next week, and the four-time Pro Bowl pick has made it clear he'll look for an opportunity to be a starter. One person says that if Vick doesn't find the right fit elsewhere, he would consider staying in Philadelphia. Nick Foles replaced an injured Vick last year, led the Eagles to an NFC East title and was Pro Bowl MVP.

Scouts from more than 30 NFL teams, fans and media packed Missouri's training facilities Thursday to watch the former Tigers defensive end and 14 of his former teammates at the school's annual pro day. A little over a month since Sam announced his desire to become the first openly gay NFL player, he lifted 225 pounds 19 times, ran the 40-yard dash in an unofficial time of 4.69 seconds and jumped 30 inches - all improvements from his statistics at the NFL combine last month. One of his fans in attendance was Jets defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson, who left Missouri last year.

Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice has been indicted on a charge he assaulted his fiancee in an elevator at casino in Atlantic City, N.J. Rice had been charged with simple assault after police said he knocked out Janay Palmer on Feb. 15 at the Revel Casino. Rice's attorney, Michael Diamondstein, says Rice denies the charge and that the couple are happy and in counseling.

NFL Network reported Thursday night, citing a ''source,'' that Carroll and the Seahawks had reached agreement on a contract extension. Three NFL players are named in a police report involving a woman who passed out in a hotel and later woke up in a hospital not knowing how she got there, though no one has been charged with a crime, authorities said Thursday. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and wide receiver Quinton Patton, and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette, were with the woman at a Miami hotel where Lockette lives, according to the Miami Police Department report. Kaepernick came into the room, began kissing her and undressed her completely. The woman told police that they did not have sex, and that Kaepernick left the bedroom saying he'd be right back.
