I don't think this one is going to blow up like that. China has too much to lose and Russia doesn't care. Missiles not headed their way shouldn't cause either of them to react. Anything is possible, but there are risks in every COA. Letting the nut develop a missile that can hit the US and the ability to stick a nuke on top of it is a bad option too. That is at least as likely to cause a Workd War and he's darn close to that capability. My fingers crossed this works out.

I have a feeling that if he goes through with this that it will erupt a war that could in turn start WWI. Not saying it will happen but there is a good possibility that it could.

If it does or doesn't start WW 3 it would almost certainly start a way that could destroy much of the northern portion of South Korea. I hope he reconsiders this course of action. I don't think we are to this point… unless he knows something we all don't, which is possible, this is just premature to me.

Yes premature is the right phrase I would use too. Maybe he wants to do this while it looks like China is with us on it. But with the wishy washy style that China puts on who knows what will actually happen.

This is how I think it might play out as a worst case scenario. America will bomb some of their nuclear silos / bases and the North Koreans will retaliate by making a major artillery strike on South Korea. South Korea will enter the conflict along with America and the next we will have to see is what China will do. I'm more worried about China in this conflict than the North Koreans.

Absolutely, NK can hurt our allies but not really us. China, on the other hand, can hurt us badly. But would be devestated in return. I don't see that happening, but no one saw WW I happening either.

Yeah no one saw WWI happening and they even took steps to keep WWII from happening but yet it still happened. Now we are looking at what may be the catalyst for the start of WWI. This will be interesting to say the least.
