Why Does The USA Support Israel? - Page 2

The only people who have consistently lived in what is now Israel for any length of time (well over 2000 years) have been Jews. There is no such thing as a Palestinian people.

When the "Zionists" started to move in, in the late 1800's, the land was completely desolote after decades of Turkish mismanagement. The Turks periodically forced new immigrants such as Circassians, Kurds, Turcomanns and Naim into the area. When the local bedouin, who never in all of history owned land, would ravage these immigrants, the immigrants would flee across the Jordan River into what is now the country of Jordan, and become, essentially, bedouin themselves.

QUOTE
...At the turn of this century, Palestine was no longer the land of milk and honey described by the Bible, but a poor Ottoman province, a semi-desert covered by more thorns than flowers.  The Mediterranean coast and all the southern half of the country were sand, and the rare marshy plains were fens of Malaria which decimated the sparse, semi-nomadic population, clinging to slopes and bare hills. (Abdel Razak Kader, The Jerusalem Post, January 8, 1969)

The very few Arabs and other immigrants who lived in this desolate land around 1900 were gladly selling their land to the Jews at high prices. After all, the land was absolutely worthless (in their opinions). It wasn't until the Jews started to improve the land, making it even more valuable than the Turks and Arabs had thought it was, that there began to be problems. The thing is, the Jews were happily buying the land, not taking it.

This quote is taken exactly, word for word:
QUOTE
The Mohammedans of Jerusalem are less fanatical than in many other places, owing to the circumstances of their numbers scarcely exceeding one quarter of the whole population - and of their being surpassed in wealth (except among the Effendi class) in trade and manufacturers by both Jews and Christians. (British Consul James Finn to Earl of Claredon, Jerusalem, 15 September 1857) (emphasis added)

You claim that the Jews have no hereditary right to the land, yet there is much more evidence of Jews having a hereditary right than there is for ANY Arab or Muslim. If you were able to trace the history of any of the so-called Palestinians back before 1900, you would find less than 1 in 10 had ancestors that lived there before 1850. The ones that were there were forced there by the Turks, and promptly departed, as soon as they could.

You claim that the Jews only have a religious claim to the land, yet this is much more than any of the Muslims. There is overwhelming historical evidence that the Jewish people, the Jewish religion, was established in Jerusalem and the local environs, and survived there ever since. Yet there is no evidence, whatsoever, that Jerusalem ever had any real significance to the Muslims. It is only fairly recently that fatwas were published claiming that Muhammed visited Jerusalem in a dream!

Yet this is the foundation upon which the Muslims claim that it is their third holiest city. The problem with this is that they never cared for it, in any way, before the Jews started moving there.

Here is a short list of languages in habitual use in "Palestine" in 1931, by Muslims:
Afghan
Albanian
Arabic
Bosnian
Chinese ***
French
German
English
Greek
Hebrew
Indian dialects
Javanese
Portugese
Russian
Spanish

I left out a lot of the obviously real Muslim-related languages, just for space. I never claim that there weren't Muslims there in the early 1900's, but a look at the languages in use by the Muslims, now called Palestinian Arabs, should show that most of them did NOT come from that particular region.

The fact is, the Arabs didn't want the land until the Jews improved it. The Arabs own 90% of the region, the Jews, 10%. Muslims own 99% of the region, including most of Africa, the Jews own 1%. Why would it be different if the Jews were settled in, say, Chad, rather than Israel? Then the Chadians (?) would have had the world opinion in their favor, right?

Face it. The Palestinian, and Arab sentiment in general, is just anti-Jewish in general, just as it was when it was published in Germany. They even use the same terms and arguments that the Germans and Russians did during their pogroms.

America’s Left-Wing Jews Ashamed of Israel’s Jews

American Jews on the left were beside themselves last week. Israel’s Jews did something that utterly infuriated these American Jews: Israel’s Jews overwhelmingly voted for a man of the right (Or for other right-of-center parties). And not just any right-winger, but the only leader in the Western world to publicly differ from their hero, President Barack Obama. To understand their fury, one must first understand that no one is more certain of their moral superiority than the left. This is true the world over, and among Jews it is particularly so. For the leaders of the American... Ref. Source 7
