Okay, the police officer saying that any injury the happened was accidental is ridiculous. You can't accidentally insert a baton there while using it to subdue a suspect. In this case the African immigrant is no longer a suspect and is now a victim. We just don't know enough about the Chinese man to say the same thing.

That said, the fact that a group of anarchists protested this isn't going to help anyone's cause. A reasonable French citizen isn't going to side with anarchists. Heck, if there truly was anarchy then there'd be many more incidents like these. The world would be more like the movie The Purge if anarchy were to reign.

An armed man who deliberately rammed his car into a police van in Paris on Monday has been taken down by officers and is dead, French authorities said.

The incident took place on the iconic Champs-Elysees boulevard in central Paris, the latest attack this year against security forces in the French capital.

Gerard Collomb, France's interior minister, told reporters the attacker's car contained weapons and explosives.

"Enough to allow him to blow up this car," Collomb said.

No police officers or passersby were wounded, an Interior Ministry spokesman said.

The small white car caught on fire after the collision with the mobile police unit.

It's the fifth time in four months that security forces have been attacked in Paris. Ref. CNN.
