Tobago and Trinidad Protesting

The can once they have police permission. Compared with other countries Trinidad and Tobago's freedom to protest is very good.

Title: Breaking the law

Comments: I refer to the article entitled ' was the highway protest a criminal act' which appeared in this morning's issue of the express newspaper. I wish in particular to invite your attention to contents of the following paragraph:

international QUOTE
A criminal investigation has been launched to determine if action can be taken against anyone held culpable for the traffic mayhem caused last Friday afternoon, when United National Congress (UNC) supporters and politicians protested on the highway near the Couva Children's Hospital. See: Was the highway protest a criminal act?

Now bearing this in mind, why then, when the police created pandemonium when they blocked the roads of the main arteries of our highways here in their protest in pursue of a pay rise in 2015 why, didn't anyone consider then, that they were committing a criminal offense?. They all walked free and to top it got their pay rise.

I may remind the authorities that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander.Trying to implement a different law for civilians lawlessness than that of the police for committing the same offense is showing how corrupt our justice system really is.
