I do not understand Muslim women. Back in the 70s they were wearing jeans and t shirts. Now they are fully dressed and covered. Is this something they wished upon themselves or is this something forced upon them. Since they can not talk to men how would we get the straight answer?

I would guess that it is forced upon them. In Muslim countries where Sharia law is in effect what choice do they have? They either comply or face severe and possibly fatal consequences.

It is forced upon many of them. I had a Persian Farsi teacher back in the early 90s before I went Warrant. She left Iran with her family because they were dead set against their female children being reduced to second class citizens. She is very western and was when she was in Iran. She told me about her cousins stuck in Iran either because they couldn't make it out or because their branch of the family liked what was happening and those poor girls went from listening to rock & roll to wearing either a Niqb or Burqa and not being allowed to leave the house without a male escort.
