Pool Safety Guide Reviews Consumer & Travel Family Culture

Pool safety is not something to skip. Teach your kids when they are young that a pool of water is dangerous unless they have proper supervision. It is very easy to forget safety if it has not been ingrained into you at a young age. Many kids are killed by drowning each year by not following simple safety rules.

Do you think it was an "accident"? Whether it was or not, the kids should be removed from her because she obviously has some addiction issues that need treatment! Poor baby!

ANAHEIM HILLS (KABC) -- Police have arrested and charged the mother of a one-year-old boy after he drowned in a backyard swimming pool. The 34-year-old mother of three is now in jail after her 1-year-old boy drowned in the pool. Page Elizabeth Looney is being charged with felony child endangerment resulting in death. The incident took place at the Anaheim Hills home on Thursday. "When we got to the residence along with Anaheim fire the child had been taken out of the pool by its mother. The mother was giving mouth to mouth breathing to the child," said Sgt. Tim [crap], Anaheim Police Department. Investigators believe that Looney was drinking when her son drowned. Police say she did not call 911 when she found her son at the bottom of the pool. Her 11-year-old daughter called paramedics after she came home from school. "There was no gate around the pool and there was no pool cover. There was nothing, no security measures in place to prevent a 1-year-old from walking out through a back slider into the pool," said Sgt. [crap]. This was not the first of Looney's children to die under her care. In 2005 her 2-year-old son suddenly died. The toddler died from a pre-existing medical condition, according to a medical examiner.... Source 7t

That's a terrible thing for the 11 year old to see coming from school. The mother not calling 911 is very strange. Either she was in shock or as is suggested was on some kind of drug.
