Trinidad Immigration Detention Centre

Has anyone ever been through an immigration detention centre in Trinidad? Just wondering how good the facilities are compared with the ones for locals.

TV6 News made a report that African immigrants are making claims of being discriminated against and being left at the Trinidad Immigration Detention Centre even after attending immigration court.

Never been there but I heard its a way better place to be than the prison. I think years ago there wasn't a separate prison but they were all were with the locals so this is a step up.

Once again foreign nationals who entered the country illegally are being given the highlight. These are the few that were caught but as I see it there are literally thousands of illegals in Trinidad & Tobago now working in every sector you can imagine. A definite executed plan is needed not just continued talk.
