Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz Closes Two Centers in Iowa

Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, the Iowa affiliate of the nation's biggest abortion business, has announced it is closing two of its abortion referral clinics - the Newton clinic and the Family Practice Center in Des Moines. These centers, which refer women for abortions, will be closed effective July 19 and they follow Planned Parenthood of the Heartland closing the doors in March on their abortion centers in Storm Lake and Knoxville, Iowa. Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz Closing Two Clinics in Iowa

The Planned Parenthood abortion business announced today that it will close two clinics in Iowa. The Planned Parenthood of the Heartland affiliate made the announcement that locations in Spencer and Fort Madison will be closing effective March 15.

Last March, Planned Parenthood closed their abortion clinics in Storm Lake and Knoxville. Then, mere months later in July 2012, they closed their abortion clinics in Newton and the Family Practice Center on Army Post Road in Des Moines. With these new closing, a total of six Iowa-based Planned Parenthood centers will have closed - all of which either perform abortions or make abortion referrals. Ref. Source 9

Iowa Medical Board Adopts Rules Banning Dangerous Webcam Abortions

The Iowa Board of Medicine voted 8-2 today to adopt a rule effectively ending webcam abortion in Iowa.

The webcam abortion practice started with the Planned Parenthood of the Heartland affiliate using it in Iowa, a rural state where the abortion business has a difficult time getting an abortion practitioner to each of its clinics. As a result, it set up a process by which the abortion practitioner only visits with the woman considering using the mifepristone abortion pill via a videoconference, as opposed to an in-person visit the FDA suggests.
