Q. What is Genealogy Research?

Genealogy begins when you ask, 'who is my mother and who is my father?' The first step you should take is to sit down with your own mother and father and get the following information (you may print it if you like):

First Name:

Middle Name(s):

Maiden Name:

Surname:

Date of Birth: Where:
Date of Christening: Where:

Spouse:

Spouce Maiden Name:

Date of Marriage: Where:
Date of Death: Where:
Date of Burial: Where:

Children:

There are more questions you can ask, but the above is the core inormation that you will need for each individual with name, date of birth, marriage, and date of death being the most important.
