"Social Justice" is a codeword for attempts to implement socialism and progressivism. It is the philosophy of telling you and me what we can and can't do. It is the philosophy that in order to fulfill the commandments to love one another and provide for the poor, we must depend on the government to tax us heavily and give that money to others. It is wealth distribution by force.
The gospel ideal is fairly well implemented in the Church's Welfare Program, in that we voluntarily give fast offerings, work in canneries, and do additional service projects to help out those who are in need. It is not imposed upon us, nor are we "encouraged" by our church to work for more government involvement in our lives.
Christ taught us to care for the needy, to submit to God, and to be responsible for ourselves. Social Justice imposes government regulations on us, takes upon itself responsibility for us, removes responsibility from us, and forces us to submit to the State. Social Justice is a philosophy that leads to socialism and statism and away from God.
As for Glenn, how is his statement that people should leave their social justice churches different from Obama's and Reid's statements that we should give up our responsibility for ourselves and let the government make decisions for us? Oh, yes, Glenn says take responsibility for yourself, which is what everyone seems to want to give up. That is more why they are upset with him than anything. At least in my opinion.
Oh, how is Glenn going to enforce his suggestion? If he has no ability to enforce it, then what is the problem? He is advising, not forcing. Can you see the difference?
