I don't know, the topic is more complicated than it appears. I just dislike the using a particular religious belief to motivate your political position. It is completely disingenuous, in my opinion of course. Also, it is used to dismantle your opponents too, as used previously with JFK, considering he was catholic I believe? and all the other presidents up to him were protestant? Or maybe that was backwards. Even though it didn't work in that specific example. But, dishonestly using a belief is very paradoxical don't you agree?
Anyways, I do believe it is quite possible to not force your religion onto others, it's just a matter of respect, if you will.
