What I have found to be the best is to eat less (that means no 2nd's), cut out soft drinks (or at least cut down to just one or two a week) and getting a good walk or two in a week.

For each and every person it's different but I do notice that many folks who are trying to lose weight would never dream of sharing dinner at a resturant. Many resturants give you huge servings. My wife and I share many of our dinners and it's just fine.

The best diet is one consists of a lot of protein and less calories. You must eat your greens, which are very helpful. I recommend trying to eat 1-2 salads per week because they are very healthy.

Comments: A high level of Protein is one of the worst diets. Study the Atkins disaster. The author himself died young and was overweight. Casein (Protein stuff) promotes tumor growth. A lower protein diet burns more calories and consume more oxygen. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Read "The China study" by Campbell. The longest study in the world.
A great diet means zero animal based products. Plants and fruit. At least sharply reduce your animal intake. Cows, elephants, rhino's giraffes to name but a few are all big animals that get their protein from plants. Where do you think the protein in your meat comes from? The cow gets it from grass.
Eat a whole foods, plant based diet for optimum health while minimizing refined food, added salt and added fats.
