Walmart says it will ban gun sales to anyone under 21. Walmart is banning sales of guns to people younger than 21, becoming the second major retailer to make such a move Wednesday following the Parkland, Fla., school shooting. The nation's largest private employer and retailer made the announcement hours after Dick's Sporting Goods earlier said it would make a similar move. Ref. USAToday.

Walmart will stop selling some ammunition and asks customers to avoid openly carrying guns in its stores. After a rash of mass shootings, including one at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, that left 22 people dead, Walmart will stop selling handgun and assault-style rifle ammunition. Thank goodness at least one big company is taking the initiative to ensure the public's safety. I think more people are going to turn to shopping online more than ever before.

Yes I agree. Not usually a big fan of Walmart but I think where leadership from politicians fails leadership will have to come from the business community. Sooner or later loss of human life has to be the real bottom line. So good for them!

Walmart to limit the number of shoppers that can be in stores as part of coronavirus response. Starting Saturday, stores will "Allow no more than five customers for each 1,000 square feet at a given time, roughly 20% of a store’s capacity," the retail giant announced Friday. Ref. USAToday.

I think this is a good idea when it comes to safety and controlling COVID-19. I know there are so many people who shop at Wal-Mart because of how cheap it is.
