Milk For Muscle Building

I have to admit that when lifting heavy and not eating a lot of meat a glass of skim milk really helps out. Now, I know that I have said elsewhere that dairy in general causes a lot of problems like mucus build-up and I have not changed that stance - I believe like everything else there must be control. For instance when I am not lifting I do not drink milk at all as I do not see a need for it. However, when I am pounding iron I feel incredibly weak and brittle if I do not have a glass of that white 'juice' to strengthen my bones. Now here are some words from an article that gives you the benefits of milk:

Building Muscle Milk

Milk also has the benefits for athletes as well. I drank milk allot while I was growing up. I played allot of physical sports including no pads football. I never once broke a bone, even though lots of times I should have.

I was also run face first into a metal pole and did not break my nose. The doctor attributes that to the fact that I drank milk so much as a kid. I think that children that are active since their growing bones need the backing of extra calcium. Of course, as an adult, milk tends to put weight on me, so I don't drink it as much.
