It is interesting to see how the Maccabiah developed from a fantasy of a teenager and is now a major international event with about 7,000 competitors from 55 nations in the current Maccabiah that opened July 11th

I am not sure but I think they trust the athletes that wish to participate because it's more of a religious event than an athletic one so there would be not much reason for non Jews to wish to participate
