Mississippi is the state used to name the largest river in the United States, the Mississippi River. The mississippi as been an inspiration to the likes of Mark Twain. Another large river, the Missouri River feeds into it in Saint Louis and contributes to its girth before it heads south and out into the gulf of mexico. Mississippi also has a rich indian tradition of woodland and hopi tribes.
