North Carolina elections chief issues statement saying ‘It is illegal to vote twice’ after Trump suggested people vote by mail and in person. Karen Brinson Bell, executive director of the North Carolina State Board of Elections, said voter fraud is a felony under state law. President Donald Trump, who has alleged mail-in ballots would lead to fraud, suggested Wednesday that North Carolina voters try to vote in person and by mail in order to test the election system. Bell said the state has "Numerous checks in place" to "Prevent people from double voting." Ref. USAToday.
