Please state which phone company in your country provides the best phone service and why. Consider cost, if they have modern equipment, time between install and activation, service, etc.
I currently have Cingular and I am pretty happy with their service. It is certainly better than what AT&T had to offer. The only problem I currently have is with my phone, but that is another issue. The service I have is a Nationwide one and I have used it in a couple of States already with no problems. The discount I get with my company is also an added bonus.
We use BT (British telecom), they provide a good service at a reasonable price.
We did years ago change over to NTL, who were slightly cheaper, but we had nothing but problems with their service. So to me, service counts for a lot.
At the moment, we are on a contract where you pay a slightly higher monthly fee, but we can use the phone phoning other house phones as long as we like all day... now that sounds like a good deal to me (as I remove the phone that is glued to my ear )
Here in the UK I'd say BT.There are a number of other companies that use the BT network and some of them are cheaper with call charges and line, but they have a lot of hiding charges and there customer services leave a lot to be desired. Also you can get cable to supply a line but they are not available in all areas.
I had a very bad experience when I fell for the sales patter of Talk Talk, yes my bills where slightly cheaper but not enough to make a difference.I had a fault with my line I had to pay to report a fault,it took 4 weeks to finally get it sorted. They kept telling me that it was BT's responsibility although I was paying line rental to them.I phoned BT on a number of occassions each time getting more angry with the advisor on other end of phone. They kept apologising and sympathising with me but told me they couldn't help I had to speak to my supplier who in turn referred me back to BT.Eventually I went to the regulators Ofcom to complain about BT.Ofcom then explained to me that any problems with my line was the responsibility of Talk Talk, that BT could not discuss the account with as I was not their customer. My provider was responsible for maintence of line. They still charged me line rental while the line was unavailable, refused to give me compensation and threatened court action when I refused to pay for a service I couldn't use.I soon reverted back to BT.
