Close Topic OptionsI don't understand the reasoning of killing someone in general, but most assuredly not a child. I was raised that children are precious and that we should respect the young and the old alike. But it seems that more people view children as tools for adults. Cant they see that children are the future?
It's a power issue. They want to feel as if they have power over somebody, and so they hurt children because children are naturally weaker. It's horrible that this little girl's life has been ended so abruptly. The death of a child is never easy to deal with. I can't imagine trying to deal with the death of a child in such a horrific way. I agree, konquererz, that children are a gift to our world. As cliche as it sounds, children are the future of our world, and it seems like there is so much hate in the world, and that's what they're learning.
I wonder how many lives would be spared if kids are supervised at all times. Personally, I do not care to be perceived as a lunatic but I don't leave my kids out of my sight for a second.
Little Carlie (11) was returning home from a sleepover (2004) when a man (Joseph P. Smith) approached her and kidnapped her. He was charged with her kidnapping, rape and murder and was sentenced last year to the death penalty.
