The Weather Outside Is Frightful

Today was a very rainy and mucky day, and as I was driving the large fifteen passenger van to pick up the girls from school to take them to the center, and found myself yawning incessantly. It started me thinking about how weather really effects a lot of people's moods and emotions. Some people are very happy and bubbly on warm, fuzzy, sunny days, and some people become very either serene, tired, or melancholy when then weather is rainy and dark.

Some people are completely opposite, sunny weather making them tired, and dark weather making them more alive. Then there are people who are completely uneffected by it.

Are your moods affected by the weather/temperature outside? If so, how?

Of course it does, and having experienced all kinds of atmospheric conditions I must say that I love tropical weather the best because I am able to dress knowing that the sun will be there and the temperature set to a point - there is no guessing. This enables me to eliminate one thing to worry about in my everyday routine and thus I am not as stressed.

On the other hand, winter does stress me out and I feel generally uncomfortable having to put on so much clothes. Usually I cannot concentrate too well if it is bitter cold.

Another despair is constant rain, usually not depressing, but disappointing as you are somehow curtailed in your movements.

The Weather Outside Is Frightful Health & Special Psychology

Yesterday was a dreadful, rainy and gloomy day here in Southern Minnesota, and boy did it affect me! I felt like sleeping the entire day. I didn't want to go anywhere or do anything. January and February are the gloomiest months here, and I can't wait for Spring. There are a lot of people at my work that suffer from seasonal depression, and these days are the worst for them.

Frightful Outside Weather The

I'm gonna get allot of perplexed looks from this, but I get in a better mood when its grey outside. The reason is that sunlight hurts my eyes. When I go out and have to shield my eyes, they start hurting, and it puts me in a foul mood. It wasn't always this way, but my eyes have gained a sensitivity to light as I have gotten older.
