In a story he hasn't shared before, James Comey tells USA TODAY how the tragic death of his infant son shaped him as a leader. During an hour-long interview with USA TODAY, former FBI director James Comey generally displayed the just-the-facts-ma'am demeanor of the G-men he once led. Then the conversation turned to the loss more than two decades ago of his infant son, Collin Edward Comey, to a treatable infection that a doctor and a hospital failed to diagnose. Ref. USAToday.
