Weird Things That Happen...
While at my computer...

That is right, within this thread you can list all the strange things that occur or have occurred to you while seated by your computer. Here is a few of mine:

1. The monitor switches off and then comes back on for no reason
2. A huge roach flies through the window, lands on the keyboard, after a brief battle I ended up having to disinfect my keyboard - yuk!
3. The cursor just starts moving to one end of the screen on its' own

That Weird

That last one has happened to me. Just a few weeks ago at that. I was sitting there and my cursor kept moving down and to the right. I had to boot my machine to stop if from happening! What on earth?

Anther weird thing happened a few months ago. I lost web connectivity, and all of my web page sessions closed. Why? How should I know, I went to the bath room and everything worked again. But I can't explain why my web pages closed.

Weird Things That... Gaming Video & Issues Computer

For those of you with mouse cursors creeping across the screen, are you using optical mice? I've seen optical mice get confused occasionally on certain surfaces, thinking they are slowly being moved. That tends to happen with lower quality optical mice.

Weirdest thing I've ever seen? While working as an I.T. assistant for City Hall, one worker reported text was appearing on their screen and they weren't doing anything. Because everyone in the office was using wireless keyboards, the wireless receiver attached to that particular computer was receiving the keystrokes intended for another nearby computer.

That Weird

About six years ago I was sitting at my computer getting ready to shut it down because we had a bad storm coming through. I was saying bye to a friend of mine, and this massive boom sounded so loudly. I literally jumped so high out of my chair that I broke the roll out keyboard thingy with my knees. Turns out that it was lightening, and it struck a house about 6 blocks away.

That Weird

This is weird in a way I guess yet at the same time has a really good explaination. Sitting in front of my machine the monitor just starting blinking and the speakers will almost thump to the same rythum that the computer monitor is flickering to. It is usually about that point when my cell phone starts to ring. Very obvious in what is going on yet while in the middle of a game or reading something that you are involved in makes it seem really bizaar.

Weird Things That...

This isn't so weird I guess, but my cat will wait until things are very quiet in the apartment and then come running into the office and jump up onto the computer's keyboard. She doesn't want anything, she just likes to scare me.

Weird That...

My main computer is in the basement of our house. One of the tiles in the ceiling was gone, and while I was sitting at my pc, a baby mouse fell from the space in the ceiling right onto my keyboard. I almost had a heart attack, but regained my composure, picked up the mouse, and escorted it outside. That had to be the weirdest thing that has happened while sitting at my pc.
