Regional Corporations in Trinidad and Tobago are supposed to implement and maintain the infrastructure for each region of the country. They do a very poor job. Each year people are subject to flooding and other natural disasters that could have been avoided had the Regional Corporations done their job. For example rivers, drains, and ponds need to be cleaned and / or drained in order for the water from mountains and other high places to drain into the sea, yet each year they are left unattended until AFTER the flooding comes.
