All net or no net?New Jersey Nets
The trade for Vince Carter this last off-season was one of the best moves that the Nets have made in a long time. He has definitely improved the offense dramatically with contributions of 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists per game. Jason Kidd has been strong, as usual, in his role as point guard, and Richard Jefferson continues to show that he is an offensive threat anytime the ball is in his hands. The Nets currently lead the Atlantic division and hold the #3 seed in the East. Can they repeat their performances in 2002 and 2003 and reach the NBA Finals once more?

What a great game! The Nets lose by just 2 points despite a 31 point performance by Vince Carter. The Nets had been favored by one against the 41-41 Pacers, but failed to come back after falling behind by six after the first quarter. It just goes to show how one man can make a difference, but one man can't win the game for the whole team.

What is up with the Nets? They lose game 1 by a squeaker, then blow out Indiana in Game 2 only to be blown out themselves in Game 3? Jermaine O'Neal really blossomed in this third game scoring 37 points and pulling in 15 rebounds. IF, and I mean if, the Nets can escape the Pacers in this series, I don't think their inconsistency will get them very far. Or is it a matter of Indiana matching them up very well?

That will be a huge loss for the Nets who need anyone and everyone they can muster to guard Shaq. I don't understand why these professional athletes constantly put their careers and teams in jeopardy, especially during crucial times like the playoffs.
