Treacher Collins Syndrome

Watching this video made me well up with tears for both the parents and the poor girl.

Syndrome Collins Treacher

Juliana has made great progress, she can't breathe on her own yet but she is slowly learning sign language and also going to school. She had 21 surgeries so far and has like 23 to go still. What I love the most about this story is that her parents knew she would be born with this decease yet they decided to continue the pregnancy although I am not sure if they knew the extent of the decease (this is the worst case of Treacher Collins Syndrome reported worldwide).

Because of the Media's coverage, most people are okay when they see Juliana for first time but others like two cases, one kid ran away screaming when she saw Juliana and another girl said she is "disgusting".

People are so cruel. What makes a person beautiful is what is inside. The person who said he should have been aborted is very ugly. How can you say this to another human being? I know sometimes its hard to see people who are different to you, but every single person is flawed. Perfection is a myth. I wish people could learn this.
