Darkness Good There Is

Darkness is just the absence of light sometimes its just the absence of intense light because what might be dark for some is still 'lighted' for others. Consider this… most of the universe is in fact 'dark' its the dominant force so it can't be all bad. wink.gif.

Is There Any Good In Darkness? Paranormal & Mystics Dreams Studies

As long as you're not within any major cities, one benefits of the darkness is that you could just see the beauty of the night sky. This is something you can never see during the day.

This matters location or season, but another benefit of the night is that it provides coolness from the day. When the heat and harshness of the sun gives way to the night it provides relief.

Another benefit, is that it is often in darkness that we can be provided protection from danger. It allows us to hide from those who might hurt us, the darkness providing a blanket of securitythe day time may not. Where light might reveal us to those who seek us harm.

Another benefit of darkness of the night, is that it is often a much more calmer and relaxing time, one that can lack the activity or complexity of the day that brings stress and tiredness. Admittedly, this one is relatable mostly for those that are awake during the day, at work or school during this time.

I would say the one most important to me though is the beauty of the night and the quiet that can come with darkness. Sure in our culture many may have the darkness a scary place what dangers or monsters within, but it doesn't have to be such.

With everything in life, moderation is the key. A little darkness is a good thing. Thomaslee gives a lot of good reasons, but too much darkness and you can end up with bad consequences. There is also metaphysical darkness (As in people full of 'darkness'), and I don't think even that is bad. If darkness is just the opposite of being full of light and jovial feelings, then it is a necessary part of life. Imagine only knowing joy or happiness, but never feeling pain or sadness. We wouldn't know how to appreciate that joy/happiness. It would just be the way things are and there would be no lack of it. The darkness many times can help us really appreciate the light, when it comes. Even if you want to go so far as to say is there anything good in evil, I believe there is. Sure evil hurts people and we should all abhor it and do the best we can, but seeing evil and even experiencing it from time to time can help keep us aligned toward good. Being reminded that small little mistakes or choices can lead to big 'evil' actions (Just not helping a stranger could ultimately lead that strangers death, like giving money to the homeless and then them dying of exposure), can help keep us grounded and see how even the little good we do can have a big impact in life (Just smiling at a stranger in the bus or train can brighten their day and they could go on to make some huge choice either away from evil or toward good).

I believe ultimately we need all things in moderation, because when they get too out of balance, they become harmful to people.

Demonizing darkness or entropy, is the result of the Abrahamic theologies.
Before the one true god and his enemy notion came about all God's were both light and dark. There is actually a statement about this in the Old Testament where God says he creates all things good and evil.

In the Hindu theology the left hand (Dark) path is just as vital and respected as the right hand (Good path).

If you look at Anton LaVey 's Satanism, there are rules about allowing others to be who they were born to be, as long as they aren't harming others, without ridicule or condemnation. Other rules like never harm a child, always be respectful until disrespected, never harm or kill an animal unless In self defense or for sustenance and keep sexual comments and advances to yourself unless the object of your desire has openly displayed interest. These are rules set forth by a dark religion (Actually just a philosophy) that make the main stream religions of light look like cretins.
They said it best in Warcraft the movie, "From darkness light, from light darkness.
