Such as scientist have discounted apes as primates just like the first men were nothing but primates. Scientist need to learn to not have a preconceived notion of abilities and stop thinking that we are smarter than anyone else.

How typically human. We always see ourselves as superior. My country is superior to yours. My religion is superior to yours. My ethos is superior to yours. My society is superiority to ours. This may well lead to our downfall. And if we ever meet an alien race I'm sure this superiority complex of ours will start an interstellar war.
