This is a travesty. There has to be middle ground in this debate. This is why we need to protect our borders. The Government's number one job is to protect our citizens and in this case, and many like it, it failed. Not anyone can come in our country. We have immigration laws for a reason. If anyone could come in pell mell what prevents a terrorist from coming in carrying a vial of a biological agent intended to kill thousands? It's time to fix this mess. It's time for Republicans and Democrats to come together rather than grandstanding and do so.

Any way you look at this issue it is not going to be solved any time soon. To see news articles about some illegal immigrant that has done this or that is firing up those who want tighter border protection. Then on the other hand you have those who feel the illegal immigrants are preforming a service to us by doing jobs no one else wants to do.

This is a subject that both sides can get pretty heated about. I just hope that we do something to will help the citizens of this country feel better protected and safer because as long as people can come into this country with bad intentions in mind we are vulnerable.
