That was a very interesting article. I know most people presume that parenting skills come naturally, but for the majority it doesn't. It's a case of learning as they go on.
I know many people who have their newborns on a strictly timed feeding schedule, where they only feed every 4 hours on the hour and not a minute before or after. I can't see that being so strict either helps the baby or the parent, especially if the infant is screaming for his formula.
It sounds like the book has plenty of good advice.
