All right it's time to get down to the nity-gritty. Oblivion the newest addition to the Elders Scroll series is a huge hit at E3 https://www.morrowind.com.
The story goes: While trying to escape an assasination attempt the Emporer Uriel Septim is killed. You are a prisoner (crime not important) you are given a royal pardon when you mistakenly put into a cell that is suppose to be kept empty. When the Emporer is killed he gives you the royal amulet and tells that you must find the missing son. After finding the son your job is to destroy the gates to oblivion and in order to do that you must do certain quests for the Emporers son and other important characters.
Having played and beaten the main quest, I found Oblivion to be a huge improvement over it's predecessor Morrowind.
I give Oblivion a 9 out of 10. The main quest in my opinion is too short. Edited: Zelph on 21st Apr, 2006 - 2:42am
Everyone I know is playing this game. When I say everyone I know -- I mean EVERYONE I know. Every single online person that I know outside of this community is totally wrapped up in this like they were when WoW came out. I really need to get some more spare time so I can catch up. I haven't played Morrowind anything yet. I'm still playing Jade Empire!
There is a topic open on Jade Empire. Please take ALL discussion about that game to the proper place.

The rating on this game has been changed from Teen to Mature after the discovery of a Mod that would render the women topless. As a mature adult this doesn't bother me as older game players are responsible for their own actions however I am glad they have decided to remove the teen rating because if I were a parent I would not wish for my 15 year old to find this particular Mod. This is only an issue with the PC version from what I gather as the X-box 360 does not have the mods built in.

I love Elder scrolls 3 and 4. 3 wasn't as graphical or as intelligent as 4 but 3 is still a stepping stone for 4. If you've played them all you would know what I mean. I can't remember if 1 and 2 was on nintendo or not. I've beaten 3 and working on 4, but 1 and 2 are slow and kind of lame but I'm sure it was good for the 80's and 90's. My favorite part in oblivion is the fact you can make your hair look like fire almost, even blood. Regardless I like the plot in 4, whether the main plot was short or not, there are plenty of side quests to take up your time. I think the next one they come out with the player should be able to make and personalize his own weapons and armour with enough coins.
