Trump condemns 'racist hate' and white supremacy but does not acknowledge his own rhetoric. President Donald Trump called on the nation to condemn racism and white supremacy in a speech on Monday following two mass shootings, but stopped short of acknowledging his own divisive and racist rhetoric.
"The shooter in El Paso posted a manifesto online, consumed by racist hate," Trump said in remarks from the White House. "In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy.
"These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hate has no place in America. Hatred warps the mind, ravages the heart and devours the soul," Trump continued. Ref. CNN.

Nancy Pelosi announces formal impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump: ‘The president must be held accountable. No one is above the law’. The House Speaker's move sets up the fourth such clash between Congress and a chief executive. A simple majority of the House of Representatives' 435 members would then need to recommend articles of impeachment in order to proceed to a trial in the Senate. Source 6o.
