A judge in Flint, Mich., charged city and state officials Wednesday in connection with allegations tied to the lead contamination of Flint's drinking water. Stephen Busch, Mike Prysby, and Mike Glasgow were all charged with multiple counts. Ref. USAToday.

6 Michigan employees criminally charged in Flint water crisis

High levels of lead were found in the water after the city switched its supply to Flint River. Charged are Michigan Department of Health and Human Services workers Nancy Peeler, Corinne Miller and Robert Scott, and Michigan Department of Environmental Quality employees Leanne Smith; Adam Rosenthal and Patrick Cook, according to testimony Friday morning in Flint's district court. They are charged with hiding unsafe lead levels. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette and Todd Flood, the Royal Oak attorney heading the attorney general's investigation, have called an 11:30 a.m. News conference to further discuss Friday's criminal charges. Four more people have been charged in connection to the ongoing Flint, Michigan, water crisis, state Attorney General Bill Schuette announced,

Both Darnell Earley, former Flint emergency manager, and Jerry Ambrose, former finance director and Flint emergency manager, face felony charges of false pretenses, conspiracy to commit false pretenses, misconduct in office, and a misdemeanor charge of willful neglect of duty in office.

In addition, Howard Croft, former Flint director of the Department of Public Works, and Daugherty Johnson, former Flint utilities director for the Department of Public Works, are both charged with two felony charges of false pretenses and conspiracy to commit false pretenses.

The total number of people charged in connection to the Flint water crisis is now at 13. Ref. CNN.
