Nasa's Phoenix Lander - Page 2

Hello people this a foreign planets it could have elements nad other things that we have never encountered before. This could be a reason why we did not get a reading. I wonder if it has in the program for unknowns? Nothing says what we find on mars is going to be found on earth too.

Good point, however, even if there are unknown elements I doubt every element will be unknown. It must show something like 10% carbon, 40& water, 50% unknown and so forth. It is likely that they should have a debug program, but they are dealing with so many things. It is an awfully expensive 'toy' to mess up on the second try.

Well that is what science is all about trial and error. The only bad thing is this time the trial and error phase can cost a huge amount of monies.

I hope they succeed cause I'm really hoping there is something remotely possible for life on Mars.

I believe that some microscopic organisms will be found thus showing that life could have been on mars.

I think Mars will have life on it in a few years as we explore more of it and start to build permeant structures there.
