The Shock of Manners in Trinidad & Tobago

The Shock of Manners in Trinidad & Tobago

Trinidad has become such a hostile place that people are literally shocked when I say "Please", "Thank you" and address them with "Sir" and "Mam" as I usually do. I say "Shocked" because you can tell they are not being treated that way and some service personnel have told me that it is so refreshing to be addressed properly. Have you tried it and got back a "Shocked" reaction?
