Jordan River Utah Temple Will Close for Extensive Renovation
The First Presidency of has announced the closure of the Jordan River Utah Temple in the Salt Lake Valley. The temple will be closed from February 15, 2016 through the latter part of 2017 to undergo extensive renovation.
Comments: I love this the Jordan River temple. Its not far from where I live. The work of the Lord has expanded so much that when one is closed you can go to another, you just might have to travel a little bit longer but you can still go.
An open house will begin Saturday, March 17, and go through Saturday, April 28, 2018, except for March 18, 24, 25 and 31, and the Sundays of April 1, 8, 15 and 22. The temple configuration has remained the same, but the entire property, inside and out, has been refreshed with new finishes, furnishings, carpet, paintings and murals. Source 6l.
