Miners Ecuador

Mining is a very small segment of the Ecuadorean economy. It accounts for less than 3% of the GDP. There are large proven reserves of minerals, but they are often found in difficult mine areas. They have gold, silver, copper, zinc, uranium, lead, sulfur, and limestone. The latter dominates the industry as it is used in local cement plants.
