I am the kind of man you could see twice in the same morn and have be none the wiser. I have been described as everywhere from plain to painfully dull in terms of my form. I could go into great detail about my scruffy brown hair or mine eyes but I fear that your mind may wander and instead imagine a far more gallant man than I.
I have many a skill but few true talents. I can draw and fire a bow but just from the stories I heard of my father, I can tell that I hardly live up to the legacy. Many folk take pity on me, a roving man with naught to his name but the clothes on his back and I certainly don't turn such generosity away. However, it is on such occasions that others learn of what I consider to be my greatest knack, the uncanny strength of conversation. You may be surprised to know how much people are willing to share with a kindly man of the woods. Through this I have solved disputes, joined lovers and given others the strength to follow their dreams. It's in these moments, passionate and personal, that I see the joy in having a dream. It's in these moments I almost forget I have never experienced it myself.
Before I start my journey, before I take the first step, it has to be charted. Before I seize my dream, I have to find it. I will escape this blackness. I will be someone. Just you watch me, Father, Mother... I will be a man you can be proud of.
