Harrlech is the son of a barbarian warrior-come-homesteader from the Northern wilds. He learned to read via the family's adoption of a traveling scholar's son, a victim of local banditry. Reading inspired curiosity concerning the world-at-large, where Harrlech intends to make a name for himself.
He is of typical stature (height 5', 10''), but remarkably tough and muscular due to a life in the roughlands. He has brown hair and eyes, although one is blind and white due to a bandit club wound.
Being very much used to taking care of himself, he tends to craft his own leather clothes and armor. He is an accomplished hunter/fisherman as well as a warrior, a tanner, and a dabbler in numerous and sundry crafts, including some primitive smithy.
Haarlech is rather reserved and introspective for a barbarian, slow to trust, and single-minded once entering a fray. He has an outsider's perspective regarding more developed societies, and his gods are typically to be simply acknowledged rather than courted for favor.
